Resurfacing from the Comix Underground are the rare five issues of Dope Comix available for the first time in a “best of” collection! In the late ’70s and early ’80s, this eclectic series was not only a wild trip, it served as a canvas for some of the most talented creators in comics when they were still up-and-coming, such as Reed Waller, Jim Valentino and Charles Burns! Also included is an eight-page colour section of the original Dope Comix covers and an introduction by the high priest of acid, Timothy Leary!

Phil Amara began reading comics at a young age. He is the co-creator of Burglar Girls, The Nevermen, and Sky Ape, and has written for Star Wars and Aliens, among others. He is currently the editor of SpyBoy, Planet of the Apes, and the Eisner Award-winning Sock Monkey, as well as co-editor on the American Illustration Award-winner, Scatterbrain, all for Dark Horse Comics.
