At leafie, we’re proud of our history. Launched as a digital magazine in 2019, we’ve published almost 1,000 articles exploring the world of drugs like cannabis and psychedelics alongside the culture that connects us all.
But as humans, we’re distracted when we’re online. We read on the bus or train. We’re addicted to our notifications. We keep our browsers full of tabs we swear we’ll return to.
The truth is, online content is great when we have a spare moment, but it’s easy to forget about. In the quest to provide a more mindful way to connect with our readers, we present The leafie magazine.
Launched through a successful crowdfunding campaign that hit 140% of our target, issue 1 of our new bi-annual print magazine is full of everything you’ve come to expect from our online content and more. Trustworthy and balanced journalism from respected writers who all share a passion for cannabis, psychedelics and culture.
Our print magazine gives readers something physical that can invoke the imagination through touch and feel. A space for more creativity, more in-depth research, and a high-end feel publication that can reach even more people by inviting them to disconnect from the digital world and consume content more mindfully.
While other print publications exist in our world, most content is produced through a North American lens. The UK and our European neighbours have unique, vibrant cannabis and psychedelic cultures, we believe it’s time to celebrate the work of the activists, patients, pioneers and individuals making waves on our own shores.
At leafie, we’ve always been proud of our commitment to writing content not just for those embedded in these cultures, but also for the curious. We believe that anyone will be able to pick up any copy of our print publication and be entertained.
