Minh Le is a fifth-generation ceramicist from Bát Tràng pottery village in Hanoi, Vietnam. His family lineage can be traced back 600 years to one of his ancestors named Mr Lê Phúc Thái. Mr Lê Phúc Thái was part of a group of skilled potters that migrated to Bát Tràng to take advantage of the area’s rich clay deposits and to lay down the foundations to make the village world-renowned for its pottery.
Today, the Minh Le studio is based in Los Angeles, California, and is run by Minh Le and his brother Duke. Together the brothers are fulfilling a shared vision to use the family passion and experience working with ceramics, to produce what can only be described as breathtakingly beautiful pieces of functional art.
Each product made in the Minh Le studio is considered unique due to the traditional processes used in the production, and all products contain a lead-free, food-safe glaze.
