The Long Leaf is a CBD brand that is forging its own path. Rather than pursuing the wellness market and shunning its connections to the cannabis plant, this is a brand thats firmly designed for those of us who love to get deep and meaningful after inhaling our favourite herbs.
We recently spoke with the brand to learn what makes them tick and what the future holds. Since then, members of our review team have been putting a selection of products to the test. As always, the reviews below are from real-life users who have provided honest, unedited feedback on their experience that you can trust.
Long Leaf Vape Cartridges
I was sent two CBD vape carts from The Long Leaf to review. My first impression was that the packaging was very much like the packaging used for proper cannabis products in places like America. The brand is very different to other CBD brands, with a much more modern look, which I like.
The carts came in two flavours. Sunset Gelato and Wedding Cake. Wedding Cake is one of my favourite strains of flower, so I started with that. When you open the packs, each cart comes in a little holder with the flavour on, so you don’t get mixed up, a nice touch.
Each cart contains 400mg of CBD and cannabis derived terpenes, which is where the flavours for the strain come from. The smell and taste of the carts is excellent, very smooth hit, the liquid inside is thick and I was especially pleased the extract used to make them was full spectrum and not just CBD isolate. It’s a ceramic cart too, which is a plus.
These are nice products and I’d love to see what the Long Leaf can do when the UK catches up with the rest of the world.

Long Leaf Cannabis Edibles
I’ve previously reviewed some CBD gummies from leafie and I’ve tried quite a few other brands over the last couple of years. I had to double-check the ingredients to ensure these were vegan-friendly but I found no animal-based derivatives and when I checked the website they are listed as vegan online. However, this isn’t mentioned explicitly on the packaging which was a shame.
Having tried lots of different vegan CBD products now I have started to notice that a lot of companies just sell the same products in similar packaging, so I was very impressed with this brand. The packaging is very different and the first packet I opened, the Sour Bears, were new to me. They are indeed sour and have a number of different flavours in the pack. Very morish and very tasty. They are only 10mg per gummy, but there are 50 in a very generous pack so you can snack away. The Neon Rings pack a bit more of a punch at 20mg, and I feel I may have tried these before, but they are just as tasty as the gummy bears.
Overall I found The Long Leaf gummies to be tasty and a great way to add CBD into my diet without compromising on taste.

Long Leaf Cold Pressed CBD Day Oil
First impressions – large bottle, nice packaging. This would stand out on the shelves.
This is my first cold pressed CBD oil so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I did some research and I was impressed that there are no solvents involved and cold pressing results in a full spectrum oil, which is what I would advise anyone to pick.
The oil is just that, an oil, not a clear synthetic goop. Golden in colour and it tastes how CBD should taste. There is a nice grassy flavour which isn’t overpowering.

Being cold-pressed, this isn’t the strongest oil on the market, but the added daytime terpenes are a nice touch, giving a bit of a boost to the CBD. The label advises 0.5ml but I went for a full 1ml each morning before work to get 20mg of CBD.
Even taking twice the suggested dose daily this would last 2 months, which is great. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a good allround CBD oil for day to day use.

Long Leaf Cold Pressed CBD Night Oil
As a 41 year old Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and coach. I train (in some capacity) every day; so from actual BJJ training to kettlebells, weights and various cardio exercises. obviously, this can be very vigorous and straining on the body so I was looking to try a good CBD oil to help with both my sleep and recovery.
I have been taking the Long Leaf Night CBD Oil now every night for the last 3 weeks. I found it to be very effective at helping me relax on an evening. Some other CBD products I have tried in the past have left me feeling wired and unable to fall asleep when taken at this time (typically around 10-11pm), where as this one most definitely gave me the ‘chill’ I was looking for after training late. I didn’t really notice much difference in quality of sleep (still woke during the night on occasion, and also woke early before my alarm on occasion), however, I definitely noticed a reduction in soreness/muscle stiffness which enabled me to carry on with the daily training schedule.
The instructions were a little hard to read (could do with a bigger font on the label if I’m being completely honest) and the taste was a little potent which took some getting used to (it almost felt like it was spicy??) however I did become accustomed to it and I guess this is the taste of a ‘proper’ oil rather than the poor quality stuff I must have tried in the past.
All in all, I’d give this oil a 7/10 and I will definitely be looking to carry on using this product.
