CB1 Medical launches new platform to simplify access to medical cannabis

The Leicester-based medical cannabis clinic has unveiled a web-based platform accessible on any device as part of expansion plans to double patient numbers in 2026

CB1 Medical, a Leicester-based digital medical cannabis clinic, has launched a new web-based patient platform that enables patients to manage their entire treatment journey from any device without downloading an app.

The platform, developed in partnership with Australian health technology provider Medistack UK, replaces the clinic’s previous mobile app. Patients can now check eligibility, register, book appointments, order prescriptions, and manage their care on desktop, tablet, or mobile devices.

The launch comes as the clinic prepares to more than double its patient base in 2026.

“This upgrade is a significant step forward for our patients and our team,” said Dr Simon Tordoff, Lead Clinician and Consultant in Pain Management at CB1 Medical. “We’ve built this platform to make every part of the patient journey smoother – from first consultation to repeat prescription. It’s faster, easier to use, and ensures every patient has secure access to their care, wherever they are.”

The new platform introduces one-tap secure login via mobile number and verification code, universal access across all devices without needing to download an app, simplified management of appointments, prescriptions and treatment plans in one place, and improved processing times that reduce cancellations and delays.

Existing CB1 Medical patients can access the new system immediately using their mobile number – no re-registration is required. The previous CB1 Medical app can now be safely deleted.

“Our patients expect care that’s as efficient as it is compassionate,” added Anabel Sharma, COO of CB1 Medical. “This new platform supports that by cutting down admin, improving communication, and freeing our team to focus on what matters most – patient care.”

Alongside the platform upgrade, CB1 Medical has simplified its pricing model. New patients pay a £50 initial consultation fee with no further clinical fees for life – all follow-ups and reviews are included. The clinic offers a money-back guarantee if a patient is not eligible for treatment, and provides free initial consultations for Veterans and patients transferring from another clinic.

“We believe high-quality care should always be affordable,” said Dr Tordoff. “This new platform and pricing structure mean patients get better access and better value – without compromise.”
