We are looking to hire a content and social specialist to work part time across our portfolio of companies at the forefront of the legal cannabis industry.
We are a fast paced, tech led startup based in Manchester. Our company works across the rapidly growing legal cannabis space covering digital advertising, online media and e-commerce. Our portfolio includes an online magazine, a digital advertising platform and a DTC e-commerce brand.
We require a talented content writer with social media skills to join our team and continue our growth. Predominantly working on our content platform alongside our team of freelance contributors, as the successful candidate you will have a strong command of the English language and a keen eye for detail, being able to produce a wide range of written content at speed and scale. Understanding of the current legal and consumer landscape surrounding CBD and medical cannabis would be a significant bonus.
As well as content writing, you will be involved in weekly planning of social media content across all major platforms, executing posting strategies and schedules, and keeping up to date with ongoing audience engagement.
While the majority of your daily tasks will involve researching, writing and posting content across our websites and social properties for consumer audiences, we may from time to time require help with B2B content for our advertising platform.
Training and support will be provided, however we expect any successful applicant to already have a reasonable level of experience to be able to hit the ground running with a number of tasks. As a result you should be able to demonstrate:
- Impeccable spelling and grammar in English
- Solid understanding of the social media landscape
- Understanding of the current legal cannabis industry in the UK and Europe
- Understanding of digital marketing such as SEO, paid search, display advertising, social advertising
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, WordPress and Mailchimp is a bonus, but not essential
This is a flexible, part time role, however we expect a commitment of at least 20 hours per week. While we are a remote company, we expect you to be able to work at least one day per week on average from our office space in Central Manchester.
As the role involves a deal of remote work, we’d prefer someone who already has their own laptop to work from home where possible, however we can supply equipment for the right candidate if essential. In return, we pay living wage and provide a number of other benefits in the workspace.
