Product Earth 2022 – a bigger and better celebration of cannabis

Product Earth returns in 2022 with its biggest and best event yet.

Product Earth returns on 19th-21st August 2022 for what organisers promise will be the best event yet. With fresh branding and the spectre of cancellations a distant memory, 2022 looks to be a great year for guests who want to celebrate all things hemp, CBD & legal cannabis. For previous attendees, many of the old favourites make a welcome return. Live glass blowing, the medical zone, seminar zones & fireside chats are all back on the agenda. Last year’s skate park gets an upgrade, seeing the launch of a BMX invitational, a bigger & better park, and some of the world’s best riders coming to compete in a format designed to push them to their limits. The event is full of new experiences too, such as an art gallery with a silent auction, food demonstrations, yoga, breath work and gong baths, There will even be foraging, for those of you that are that way inclined.

Making the event bigger, better and more diverse is a key aim of CEO Matt Clifton, who tells us “we really want to lean into the culture behind the plant and it’s been great to add even more experiences. This is what people need, money is tight and they need to know that if they are investing in a ticket to the show they will be entertained whilst they are there from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.”

Entertainment has always been a key part of the event, and this year will be no different. The After Dark village will once again be sponsored by Mills and will deliver a different vibe each night. Friday will be party focused, with electronic music and drum & bass. Saturday takes on a more experiential flavour with the return of Drum Machine and the addition of a silent disco, allowing revellers to keep the party going whilst not impacting the locals in any way. Sunday will take on a more chilled approach, with an outdoor cinema showing cult classics to wind down to. On top of the music, guests can expect a revamped After Dark market, more food, and a shisha lounge. To keep the giggles flowing, there will even be an appearance from political comedian Jonathan Pie.

As well as entertainment, Product Earth will of course be focused on all things cannabis. The medical cannabis industry is picking up pace this year, and so the event will welcome clinics, pharmacies and even doctors, allowing potential and existing patients to learn more and ask important questions. “We know the cost of medical cannabis is a big concern for many,” Matt says, “attendees will be able to engage brands in conversations about new initiatives to reduce cost, as well as to discuss irradiated cannabis. Is it good, bad, necessary? We want everyone to have the opportunity to have their questions answered and expedite the process of moving towards their own prescription, if they so wish.”

Matt also firmly believes the event can offer some reflection on real world issues, and how they impact cannabis consumers across the board. “I thought the video of Ronaldo sliding the Cokes out of the way during a press conference was very poignant. Cigarette brands have long been cast aside from the world of F1, but unhealthy products are still sponsoring sporting events & teams,” he says. “As part of the development of the BMX invitational, we are also sponsoring our own BMX team. We want to not only squash the stigma of cannabis but flip it on its head. Cannabinoids have been proven to play an active role in a healthy expertise regime, which you will see in the US, but it’s time we did more to celebrate this in the UK.”

With even more entertainment, an extra day of camping, over 150 exhibitors and a raft of exciting activities, talks and discussions, 2022 looks to be a great year for Product Earth. leafie readers can get a 10% on tickets using this exclusive link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/product-earth-2022-tickets-190131657907?discount=leafie – see you there!
