Their passion for quality shows in the extensive product range, which has won countless awards over recent years. We caught up with the team to find out more about the brand, what motivates them and what the future holds for this exciting brand.
Tell us more about the origins of Orange County CBD, why did you decide to launch the brand?
We launched Orange County CBD because we wanted to bring the quality of US grown hemp to the United Kingdom. As veterans of the CBD industry, our founders knew that there was a gap in the market for high-quality CBD products made with an innovative eye.
From the very start, we had our customers in mind, doing our best to ensure that our flagship products would give the best CBD experience possible. From there we could build ourselves a reputation for reliable products that consistently lead the market in quality.
You have a fairly wide range of CBD products, how do you decide what to add?
We began with finding the finest source and extraction process of CBD that was possible. Once we were satisfied that we had the absolute best, we began the process of developing a selection of different products. Our CBD oils, E-liquids and edibles came first, each with a small range that slowly grew as we learned more about how to make our products even better.
Our oils and E-liquids grew at a respectable pace, whilst our edibles have exploded in size with over half a dozen CBD gummies of different shapes, sizes, flavours, colours and concentrations. As we enjoyed this success we began to expand our catalogue even further, noticing the trend amongst CBD topicals to begin a line of CBD skin and haircare products, as well as providing a raw CBD extract.
For someone new to CBD, where would you suggest they start?
CBD can be a big world to jump into, with so many different products and dosing methods out there. What form of CBD is best for you will be a matter of personal taste, but there are a few common choices we suggest for starters.
CBD gummies are an excellent way to step into CBD in a delicious and discreet way, whilst low concentration CBD oils are fantastic for those who want a fast and adaptable experience. CBD topicals are great if you’re looking for a skin-deep targeted effect, whilst those who vape can enjoy a CBD infused E-liquid with ease.
How do you feel the novel foods regulations will change the UK CBD industry?
The Novel Foods Regulations m
arks one of the biggest changes to UK legislation surrounding CBD use in recent years. The regulations themselves, specifically the requirements to obtain a Novel Foods License, represent a barrier of entry that the CBD market has been sorely lacking.
Although these licenses are difficult to obtain, the ultimate result of Novel Foods regulations will be to lift the overall quality of the CBD market. As a brand dedicated to the excellence of our customer’s CBD experience and the legitimacy of the industry as a whole, we support this move to raise the standards of CBD across the UK.
What does the future hold for Orange County CBD, anything new in the pipeline?
We pride ourselves on our innovation, so there’s always something new cooking away in R&D. Our long-time customers will recognise the wealth of new products we’ve introduced over the last year, but we’re far from done.
