If you’ve looked at the wide offering of CBD products on UK shelves recently, there’s a good chance you’ve had a vague case of deja vu. Many brands on the market follow a similar formula when it comes to designing a product range, focusing on the CBD content of their products and little else.
Ardoa Organics is a company taking a different approach, with a unique range of specially formulated CBD products that are unlike anything else on the market. “We believe our products are the highest quality and best value for your money broad-spectrum CBD products that you can buy on the UK and EU markets today” founder George Wilkins tells us, and it’s fair to say that might not just be a bold marketing claim.
CBD products with intention
All of the brand’s product ranges have been developed with a clearly defined purpose. “We focus on the fact that the cannabis plant contains more than CBD, which after all is just one of many cannabinoids in the plant. Many of the other cannabinoids are now being shown to have a variety of beneficial actions.” managing Partner Ingo Bousa, tells us. “We believe that products should not be formulated with the main focus being on making the simplest process for the company producing them, for example, using a cheap CBD isolate mixed with a carrier oil and sold as a mass market product. These products may well have benefits, but we believe that providing products that contain a much broader variety of cannabinoids, gives our customers the best options in finding a product that works best for them.”
“It is also important to note that the majority of products on the market are white-labelled. This means that they are mass produced, and then the same product gets sold to and via many companies in different packaging. These mass market products are produced in the standard 5, 10, 15 and 20 percent ranges. Ardoa Organics formulate and package our own products which gives us the flexibility to create unique and specific spectrums of cannabinoids. It is this hands-on approach which truly makes our products stand out from the crowd.”
Education and information are vital
The brand’s attention to detail continues beyond formulating specific spectrums of cannabinoids. Ardoa Organics is also proud of the information they give to consumers who buy their products, and they believe they have the most informative packaging on the market. Many CBD products are supplied with little to no information and Ardoa Organics uses peel and reveal labels on many products to enable all vital information to be on both, the product box and bottle. That devotion to education doesn’t stop in the end product. The brand dedicates a large amount of time to creating a blog that enables people to educate themselves about the science behind cannabinoids and the human body, while being also able to learn from honest CBD user stories. You can also learn on the blog about the carbon capture agricultural projects undertaken as part of their journey to become carbon negative.
Rigorous testing
With education and information out of the way, Ardoa Organics products go through not one but THREE different levels of testing. “We place huge value in the testing of all Ardoa Organics products, but the information contained within a test is only as reliable as the test itself. In order for us to have full confidence in our products, it is important that we work with providers that can offer quality testing to fit with our goals” says Wilkins. The first test at the biomass/raw ingredient level checks for pesticides, solvent residue and heavy metals. Next, the brand examines the nutritional information and levels of vitamins and minerals. Finally, the formulations of the finished products include two HPLC tests to confirm the cannabinoid composition, allowing each batch to be fine-tuned before bottling for greater accuracy. Only after completing all these steps is a project adorned with the Ardoa Testing protocol hologram.

Looking forward
So what does the future hold for Ardoa? “We are focused on becoming carbon negative by 2024, and this will require us to continue with the solar panel installations at our base in Madrid, and recommence with our agricultural initiatives with further test projects using the cannabis plant to sequester carbon. As a relatively young business, we have a responsibility to grow in a sustainable way, not grow rapidly at any cost, and we hope to build long lasting relationships with customers who value that approach,” says Wilkins. The brand also wants to expand in plant-based vitamins and minerals and create products specifically to aid the biology of our gut and digestion. “The future of nutritional health is going to be significantly improved by understanding, developing and protecting the microbes that live in our digestive system.”
